Neuroimmune mechanisms of neonatal nociceptive priming

Dr Jankowski is the Theodore W. Striker, MD Chair in Anesthesia Research, and is a Professor and Director of Research in the Department of Anesthesia at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC).  He also serves as the Associate Director for Basic Science Research in the Pediatric Pain Research Center at CCHMC and is the Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment for the Medical Scientist Training Program. He is an Associate Editor for several journals including Pain and is one of the Rita Allen Foundation Scholars in Pain.  Dr Jankowski’s research is supported by numerous NIH grants and focuses on basic mechanisms of nociceptive processing across the lifespan with a particular emphasis on neuro-immune communication.
