Job Title: Program Manager (Full-Time, Remote)

The United States Association for the Study of Pain (USASP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association with approximately 1000 members. Position Summary:
The Program Manager provides high-level oversight and strategic support for USASP's programs, committees, and communications. Working under the supervision of the Executive Director & CEO, the Program Manager will manage the coordination of the Annual Scientific Meeting, support the execution of committee projects, and assist with award programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Annual Meeting:

Oversee Journal of Pain abstract supplement creation.

Build and test registration forms.

Manage travel award communications and reimbursement tracking.

Build out the conference app and update the website with meeting content.

Support meeting marketing via social media and materials.

Manage overall Annual Meeting preparations
Committees:
-
Provide programmatic and administrative support to organizational committees and programs

Coordinate committee meetings and related workflows, including scheduling, materials, minutes, action items, communications, registration or application forms, review processes, and follow-up.
Membership & Outreach:

Correspond and manage memberships
-
Analyze and provide reports to leadership

Send outreach letters to lapsed members and prospective members

Review and distribute monthly newsletters.
Awards Programs & Communications:

Support grant-related promotion and application collection.

Coordinate application review processes
Location & Work Environment:

Full-time, remote position

Travel to the Annual Scientific Meeting, March 15-18, 2027 in Denver, Colorado.

Compensation and Benefits: $80K, health insurance reimbursement (HRA), 401K contributions, 2 weeks paid time off, professional development opportunities

Reporting structure: The Program Manager reports to the Executive Director & CEO.

About the United States Association for the Study of Pain
The United States Association for the Study of Pain (USASP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association with approximately 1000 members. About one-third of our membership are trainees either in a training program or within five years of completing their degree. Our mission is to promote scientific advances that reduce the burden of pain. Our goal is to bring diverse perspectives, including those of scientists, clinicians, healthcare providers, and policymakers, together to stimulate and support the study of pain and to translate that knowledge into improved pain relief. USASP is the United States chapter association of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).
Our association brings together leading experts and professionals from various scientific disciplines within pain research to advance knowledge and address critical challenges. As a highly respected and influential association, we are committed to fostering innovation, disseminating scientific discoveries, and advocating for evidence-based policies. We are currently seeking a talented and proactive Program Manager to support our organization in the efficient management and administration of the association.
