ABOUT THE EVENT

This course includes four 2-Hour Sessions, Wednesdays from 6pm -8pm ET. The certification preparation course is based on the ASPMN Core Curriculum and is an all-encompassing review of pain including physiology and pathophysiology; assessment; plan of care; pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, education; ethics and advocacy and regulatory principles. This course is designed as a study guide for the ANCC Pain Management Nurse certification and is a great review for new and seasoned pain management nurses.


Objectives:

1. Understand the nociception of pain

2. Identify pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for pain

3. Comprehend proper pain assessment

4. Create proper plan of care for patients suffering from pain
