2026 USASP Meeting Symposia Proposal Deadline

The NIH is currently accepting public comments on the NIH-Wide Strategic Plan for 2027–2031. This is an important opportunity for researchers, trainees, clinicians, advocates, and people with lived experience to help shape the future direction of biomedical research in the United States.

Sam Rodgers-Melnick, PhD, MPH, LPMT, MT-BC, is a music therapist and researcher who has developed numerous music therapy interventions. He will provide an overview of current research investigating the role of music therapy for pain among patients with sickle cell disease.
