Sam Rodgers-Melnick, PhD, MPH, LPMT, MT-BC, is a music therapist and researcher who has developed numerous music therapy interventions focused on pain management, quality of life, and supporting the transition to adult care for individuals living with sickle cell disease.
His research with the sickle cell community includes multiple clinical trials and observational studies exploring the impact of integrative therapies. During this webinar, Sam will provide an overview of current research investigating the role of music therapy for pain among patients with sickle cell disease and discuss future directions for mechanistic research.
