In this presentation, Ruth Appiah will discuss how chronic pain programs can become more culturally responsive and equitable for refugee and culturally diverse communities. Drawing on findings from a scoping review, focus groups, and co-design research, she will highlight practical strategies for building trust, supporting participation, integrating pain science education, and creating trauma-informed, community-based approaches to pain care.
